Ted to launch in February; is Bill far behind? (ATWOnline)
...US Airways Group President and CEO David Siegel told an analysts' meeting yesterday (11.12)that US Airways is contemplating a low-fare unit of its own with a working name of Bill. However, he added that such initiatives are unlikely to succeed unless the parent airline's "core cost is competitive," which US Airways' is not. Siegel said, "Bill, is expected as an extension of our alliance with United Airlines--Ted and Bill's excellent low-cost alliance," a reference to the Hollywood surprise hit comedy of a few years back, "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure."--LF

Looks like we get Metrojet part II and if it failed the last time what makes them think they can do it right this time.
However, I would be interested to see if they pull mainline jets out of service for "Bill" or they go to the boneyards and grab some of the birds they ahve parked there.

This is going to be a bogus journey rather than an excellent adventure.
"Put them in the iron maiden..."
"Cool"
"...execute them."
"Bogus"

Actually, there might be some grain of truth in your topic "Ted may marry Bill". According to my FA friend at UA, they are voting right now whether they want to be merged with the union representing US flight attendants. Rumor has it that UA is attempting to acquire US again.

that can't be what they're voting on. UA and US flight attendants already share the same union, AFA.

Actually, the AFA is voting on whether it should merge with the CWA (which is the union that represents, among others, US gate agents and Verizon phone operators).
You're FA friend at UA should get better information if s/he is to vote on this...

My vote is "Bob" or "Carol" or "Alice".
Of course, I was wrong that Delta would choose "Elsie".
