This weekend I might be in Envoy again after about 1 1/2 year of not having flown w/US across the ocean. Could someone care to share some observations about flying Envoy recently? In particular, how's the food, service and amenities?
Thanks.
If your last US Airways flight was a year and a half ago, you should be prepared to manage your expectations. During your last trip I would have rated US Airways Envoy A; Domestic First A-. Now? Envoy B-; Domestic First C-.
The big difference in Envoy is the absence of the salad cart and cheese/dessert cart. I think you are also offered one less entree (didn't there used to be three choices?), and, of course, the amenity kits are not offered.

Less movies
Less wine choice, and also lesser quality
cheaper nuts
no salad
no cheese cart
no chocoloates (remember Godiva?)
food itself is, well...on my last flight, the guy sitting next me brought Mickey D along - and after having eaten, I really canīt fault him.
Envoy used to be better than most Business Products, incl. LH. Now? It is mediocre, at best. What makes it nice are the employees , who mostly are exceptional
