Just one question on the seasonal service to GLA.....why?
Maybe because it's a good opportunity for US to surreptitiously power-wash some of their 767's. (Wishful thinking.)

The better question: why seasonal?
AA does it that way, too. GLA is a pretty large business center. Twice this year already I've flown PIT/PHL-LGW and then to GLA on somebody else. I'd love to see direct service from the states.
Also, Bronner probably had some kind of a hand in this--makes getting to Turnberry (think golf course) much easier.
