My first post. Want to spread the goodies

Got a nice surprise yesterday in the form of a timely postcard from USAir because I am taking a USAir flight from BOS to SJU at the end of the month and thus qualify for this promotion.

Details:
* Valid from now until 03/31/04
* Fly from Boston to ANY Caribbean destination, you get
- Double miles for Coach Class
- Triple miles for First Class
* Additional 2500 bonus miles if you have never flown US Airways to the Caribbean before.
* To qualify, register at usairways.com/dm/7556 or call 1-800-872-4738 and enter Bonus #7556

Fine prints says valid for addressee only (although friend registered with no problem), registration req'd prior to departure to qualify, valid on BOS to any destn served by USAir in Bermuda, Bahamas, Latin American or Caribbean thru 03/31/04. Not valid on codeshare flights operated by other airlines, e.g. United.

I have some questions:
(i) I booked this flight 3 weeks ago, but since I am travelling end of the month and will register for the promotion before that, I should qualify right?
(ii) I am flying BOS -> SJU on USAir but returning SJU -> BOS on AA because of schedule/availability/price (bought on orbitz). Nowhere did the promotion mentioned that I need to fly roundtrip, so I should be able to get double miles on the first segments and the 2500 bonus right? (my first flight with them to the Caribbean).
