This weekend I flew my first trip with US. I don't fly a lot and when I do it is usually with UA. I flew LEX-PIT-SEA-PIT-LEX. The Saab 340 LEX-PIT had 10 rows of seats and had a lot of legroom in the back 3 or 4 rows. On the PIT-LEX return the 340 had 11 rows and legroom was minimal in all rows. I just wanted to know which configuration is "normal" for the USX 340's.
I recently discovered the amazing leg room on flights TTN-PIT. F/A told me almost all 340s in and out of PIT have nice legroom in last 3 rows, with the exception of one aircraft that is not in US livery, it is completely white instead. Was that the aircraft on your flight in question?

sounds like a Shuttle America operation. The white plane in question belongs to them. I am unimpressed with SA's performance in most every area. My least favorite contract carrier.
Yes, it was the solid white 340 for the return trip. I had 1A so the legroom wasn't a major issue, but I am 6'4" so it would have been an issue had I been in the back. The FA on this flight didn't impress me much either. He sat in his seat (right in front of me) reading a GQ magazine most of the trip.

xgreg,
Were you on the Sunday morning flight PIT-LEX? It was weight-limited and they were looking for bumps. Didn't
get to see whether it was the white aircraft or not.
I used to really like Shuttle America when they were an independent operation. Then again, that was mostly cause they were cheap, and flying from Hanscom to Trenton took a lot less time than from Logan to Philly! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

No, it was the evening flight (5:40pm). Interesting that you should mention weight. For the flight that left just before mine (going to Jamestown, NY?), there was a heated discussion between one of the flight crew and the gate attendent about weight. It seemed that the flight crew guy thought they were over weight.
