Does US have an arrivals lounge (ie. showers) at London Gatwick? Also wondering if they have fast track clearance like at LHR...
Also, can upgrades have access to the lounge as well? Thanks!

Yes, yes and yes.
The showers are quite nice too.

No - it's US' own lounge (replacing the lounge they used in the Gatwick Hilton). Apparantly, it's located downstairs in the South Terminal. For further info see: http://www.usairways.com/travel/intl_travel/arrival_lounges.htm

There is a good deal of information about the lounge here:
It is their own and it is very nice. Not a great selection of food but great shower facilities. People working there are great. Nice place, was very please by it on a couple trips there last month.

just tried it for the first time. (had skipped it since first try when it was a room in a hotel attached to a terminal). LOVED IT. Will use it every time now.

One time I arrived on a Saturday, and the Fast Track line was closed. The FAs had given us passes for it, but when we inquired, they just pointed to the regular line. It was over an hour wait.
As it turns out, it wouldn't have mattered, as we waited another hour for our bags. Just barely made a connection at LHR.

Just adding my 2-cents, the LGW Arrivals Lounge is really first class. Great place.
On the other hand, my experience at CGY last month was as bad as it comes. I could not even find the lounge, and by the time I was able to ask a question, I was beyond security.

I love errored airport codes...someone suggested Southwest fly to COL, which is Coll Island, UK instead of CAE (Columbia, SC).
My personal error was when I put LAV for Las Vegas when I was looking up a flight. Unfortunately, usairways.com couldn't find any available service to Lalomalava, Samoa.
I'm guessing they mean CDG (Paris) as that's the closest code for the Europe destinations. I didn't get to look for the lounge as I went there on a cockroach special.

Hey there la2clt...what's the Fast Track lane? I've only been once, but it seems I may have missed something. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

When you fly in Envoy to LGW, the FAs give you a pass to go to a shorter line for Immigration/Passport control. AA does the same. One of the lanes is designated for fast track, and you need to show the pass to get into the line.
I am going next week, I'll let you know if it is open.

It was open a couple of weeks ago and saves about 20 minutes instead of using the general admission lines.

FASTRACK-three weeks ago, they weren't giving out any fastrack passes in envoy. FA told me they had stopped.?
If true, this trumps the new build your own amenity kit in Envoy which is ridiculous.

I received a Fast Track card on Sept. 13th. They must have stopped it on the next flight

I was in Envoy a few times in August. On one of those, cant remember which one, I made a crack about the amenity items the FA said they were preparing new kits and were getting rid of the old stuff while they designed a new kit. No idea if that is true, but interesting to hear. The build your own is incredibly cheesy. Had fast track in August. I have found at LHR Fasttrack for arrivals doesnt save much time although it is a huge saver at LHR on departures. My last time through LGW which would have been labor day. the guy on the fast track departure check was letting anyone in. It was a huge line. I actually heard someone ask him what Fasttrack was and hw said "doesn't matter you can get in this line". I complained in the US Air Club about the guy. It took a long time to get through security I was so frazzled I almost forgot to buy whisky on the way out!

I think the FA didn't know what they were talking about or they just didn't have them on the flight for some reason. The Fast Track lane was open and stickers provided on the morning of September 25th.
