has anyone been able to successfully book a transatlantic ticket on the web site using miles?

Every time I try I can usually get the outbound, but on every occasion the return segment request comes back "sold out"

When I call reservations I'm about 80% able to get what the web site indicated was unavailable.

That sounds like the prize winning US Airways website all right.

Sometimes it works and sometimes it pretends to work just well enough to make you think it must be something you are doing wrong. So you try again, and again, and again and then carefully note every step you take to make sure that it really truly isn't you. And guess what? It's not. It's just the website acting up again.

I've done PHL-LON online a couple of times (the first trip was cancelled due to the war) and recently found PHL-ROM availability for late April-early May 2004. (Didn't book that one because I found out how cheap it is to buy a USAirways ticket PHL-LGW and then fly LGW-Milan on easyJet).
