Was traveling on an unrestricted Shuttle ticket BOS-DCA yesterday... was confirmed on the 6, got to the airport at 4:20, wanted to jump on the 5. Headed straight for an agent. My colleague asked "Could we have checked in at the kiosk?"

I said I didn't think so, but does anyone know for sure?

Nope. You had to check in with an agent.

One of my huge pet peeves about those machines is that you can't change your flight, esp. on the Shuttle. And sometimes if you've changed your flight over the phone, it won't find your record, so you have to start all over again with an agent.
