Two quick questions.

USAIR frequently does challenges to achieve status, and I may try to get my friend on one of these, he has a lot of upcoming travel this year, do the UA "butt in seat miles" count towards challenges?

Also, I am taking my first UA flight, but getting DM credit, can I still use the easy checkin?

To this question, I can tell you from experience that the answer is yes.

I find it incredible that they are offering a CP challenge again. Why, didn't they get enough of us "loyal" flyers coming back!!??

Just a note that this CP Challenge is targetted - and if this one works like the others do now...I would call US & request to be added to the list.

If you aren't targetted and sign up - chances are you won't see anything as a result. It seems like they somehow verify the people signing up with a list of the "targetted".
