How does the process for redepositing miles work? I recently flew PHL-AMS and, to my chagrin, was unsuccessful upgrading with miles on the outbound. (Despite what seatguru.com might say, row 5 on the 767 is no joy).

Because I did GOM untargeted a fair amount, I am afraid to call the Gold Svc. Center and simply request the 20K be redeposited. Is this paranoid? Will the miles magically reappear at some point if I do nothing?

On a similar note... neither me nor my g-friend flying on a similar routing have received the 6935 Europe bonus. Are our DM accounts simply too jumbled with codes that something canceled the Europe bonus out? I currently do get other legit bonuses domestically and was thoroughly expecting the extra miles from the Europe bonus.

This is my first post after lurking for a couple months. A heartfelt thank you to all members of FT. You have made my (increased!) US flying much more productive and enjoyable. I hope to be able to reciprocate with useful info as I have switched most of my flying exclusively to US.

Please pardon self-serving bump but I'm really curious to hear comments.

I think you should just call and ask to have the miles redeposited.

I think you should be ok with a redeposit-- I've done an award redeposit during the GOM period and no issues. Just call them up and ask to have the miles put back in. I'm actually surprised it didn't happen automatically.

I did call Gold Svc. Center earlier last week and the miles were immediately redeposited. To accomplish this the agent did view some acct. activity but I am not sure how far back she did / could see. If she only looked at activity for November GOM would not have been visible. Since no comments were made by her nor was my acct negatively affected, I guess she did not care or did not look further back.

I do not think anyone need be afraid of calling USAir Preferred Service.
