Due to a meeting cancellation (argh), I’ve got a long stopover at CDG on my way to PRG. I’d like to pop down to the Paris, maybe visit the Orsay.
I usually stumble through CDG and make it to where I need to go, but have never researched either lounge facilities for Envoy, or lockers for storing luggage.
How are the facilities for Envoy? Showers? Where are they?
Regarding luggage storage, any suggestions? I’d rather not lug it all with me, but wondered if new security issues have complicated leaving luggage at the airport between flights.

If you do an archival search, you'll find comments about the lounges used for Envoy pax (either Bleriot or Icarus depending on whether you're arriving or departing).

The arrivals lounge has showers, but 1) they're rather dark and grungey, 2) there's no bench to sit on or to put your clothes on, 3) no hooks or hangers to hang your clothes, and 4) no towels other than cheap paper ones supplied (at the front desk).

There have been no luggage storage facilities at CDG for a long time. The closest, if you take the RER into Paris, is a Gare du Nord where there were storage lockers last year. These are subject to closure for security reasons.

I used the lockers at Gare du Nord without any problems earlier this summer. You did have to X-ray your bags to get them inside the storage area but otherwise it worked fine.

Never been to the Envoy lounge at CDG, but I have left my carry on at various airport clubs for anywhere from a half to 3 or 4 hours between connecting fllights both in the US & overseas without any problem. I just drop it off at either a locker or in the general coat storage area. Obviously you don't want to leave anything really valuable unattended.

Mauld, that crossed my mind.
But I wonder if I can get them back easily.
Anyone who's been to the CDG lounges know if I can leave my bags in the arrivals, leave the airport, and then easily retrieve my bags before heading on to PRG?

Okay, forget "easily". It is possible?

As long as your onward flight to PRG is from Terminal 1, it should be o.k. All bets off if it's from T2.

The arrivals and departure lounge U.S. uses is in the international airside area (which should be your case since Czech is outside Schengen). There's not much of luggage storage space there AFAIK. Doubt if you can leave stuff there but you can ask the agent at the desk (having a EUR 5 note might be handy).
