This bonus appeared on my statement today:

I can't figure out where 1,254 comes from. It's not double or half of any of my flights this month, although I did fly 2 segments on 01-SEP-02... any ideas?

Do you rent from Avis? See if the amount matches the mileage credit you received from an Avis Car Rental (perhaps in the last statement cycle).

I receive these 2002 PREFERRED BONUS codes that double my Avis rental credit. They are listed exactly in the format as your posting appeared.

I believe I get this bonus by using the CP AWD number.

That's it! It's double the miles I was supposed to get from my Hertz rental that ended the date the miles posted. Hertz and US had a similar double-miles deal to the Avis deal you describe.
