Other than E Savers, are there ever any cheap fares that allow for booking travel the next day?

Bereavement fares, often 50% off a full fare ticket.

The answer is, it really depends on the market, and what your idea of cheap is.

Now that WN has said "no one way fare over 199," US Airways is probably matching that in the markets they and WN both serve.

However, in a heavy business market, like Boston-Philadelphia, the last-minute fare is probably a good deal more expensive.
