Any thoughts? I still think United/US Airways is better fit.

I personally don't think the NW/CO/DL codeshare can make it past regulatory approvals ... of course some folks at NW/CO/DL obviously think differently and they get paid a lot more money for trying to figure out such things. NW/CO/DL is just too big though, and especially when you consider all three are relatively healthy financially (unlike the UA/US codeshare for instance), there is just too much opportunity for them to abuse competitors ...

I would concur that a DL/CO/NW code-share would have difficulty receiving regulatority approval. This would be a very sweet deal for frequent flyers of any of those programs.
One of the problems with the US/United code-share is that United does not fly to that many European destinations compared to DL/CO/NW. In fact, United doesn't even fly to Ireland or southern Europe. The same is true in the South Pacific.
Have we heard yet if the US/United deal has beek OK'd by the gov't?

It hasn't been okayed yet, the one big potential hurdle is the DC area ... with UA controlling IAD and US having a strong position at DCA, they may have to do something there, but other than that, I doubt there would be a problem.
Of course, if UA/US does not get approved, there's no way in heck the government would approve DL/NW/CO I'd think ...
I thought the consensus was that code-share approval is pretty much a rubber stamp process? dunno about the pilot unions, though.
Code-shares are designed to bring in revenue when the airline territories don't overlap. I see a lot of overlap with DL/NW/CO...

The US/UA codeshare alliance has been delayed by at least a month. DOT notified them both yesterday that it will be until at least Sept 23 until a decision is returned (they had previously been told this week).

I would hate to be a part of the current DL SkyMiles program. OnePass has certainly taken away quite a few benefits over the years, but SkyMiles is even worse. If OnePass picks up elements of the SkyMiles program, there will be better choices for all of us, no matter what level of elite.
