If you wanted to swtich to US Airways, would Dividend Miles comp your Elite Status from other airlines?
If so, how do you do it and to what Elite levels would they comp?
Thanks!

Apparently US will comp Silver and Gold levels. There seems to be some occasions where they have also comped Chairmans. Not sure how they chose that though. There are many posts in the US boards showing how to get the comp and who has had success. A simple search should give you the answers you need. Good luck.
I think US will be getting a lot of requests from CO elites since they have been "enhanced" with the latest from Gordo. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I did a search on "comp" and a lot came up but none of the Topic headers said anything specific. If you have any examples of keywords to search on that would be helpful.
Now, if you do get comped is this a one time thing or if you ask again in 5 years would they grant it again?

Use comp status or match status. Comp is said to be one time but there are posts from people having been "comped" multiple times on the same airline.

I asked the same question a few weeks ago. Here is a link to the thread:

I faxed my request in yesterday and got an e-mail today telling me I've been comped to Gold through Feb 2004.
