Good Morning,

I was reading on the Lufthansa forum how over 100 Senators sent a letter to their FF program talking about suggestions they had. Why don't we do the same?

I have a few ideas for basic things that could really improve our situation, and I am sure others have situations that could save USAIR money.

We could gather these and send them in as a group. What does everyone think?

Idea #1 Allow standby upgrades on Reward Tickets if there are seats available for preferred DM members.

(you might want to edit the word "enhance." When an airline "enhances" something, it usually means they have cut back service!)

I will be unpopular for saying this, but I don't think US or any airline should try to send out planes with cram packed F seats. If there is a F seat open, it is not an entitlement for an elite to get that, whether for free or with a coupon.

In addition, I don't think SWU's should be able to work with any fare. While I love going to Europe and back for $400, it makes no sense that I should be flying in F.

If you 'earned' or bought the coupon, then its not an 'entitlement', it's an 'offered benefit'.

What good is the SWU if not for upgrading the cheap seats? I suspect there are many who direct their paid corporate business (often last minute F or J seats), because when we travel ourselves we will fly up front cheap.

If you average in the cost of my paid J fares with the cost of my upgraded K/H/etc fares US is still averaging >$1000 each time I sit up front. If they make it too hard to upgrade then US will reduce the average amount it makes from me, because I will be over on AA.
