I am interested in enrolling myself and my wife in the FF program for USAir. Are there any particular signup / referral bonuses for new members that I should be aware of before joining the program?

We expect that our miles in this account will grow slowly, as our flights on Non-NWA airlines will likely be for leisure travel only (such is the curse of living in a landlocked NWA hub, 450 miles from the next real city), so I'm most interested in any bonus offers / airlines specials that are for joining, as opposed to flying immediately.

Also, do such enrollment perks generally increase in the Fall, making it in my best interest to wait for a better deal before joining?
