I just wanted to share with anyone that might be going to orlando a goldfile discount# I set up for a group of my friends.

If anyone wants to do me a huge favor, if you are flying to Orlando during this time and already have a reservation, call USAIR and have my goldfile#326-323-56 added to your reservation. I'm trying to earn a free ticket! (its 40 tickets per code to get one, I'm up to 31) I can do this via email if anyone is to busy to call.

The discount is 10% if you book 60days in advance (gone by) and 5% within that time period.
The discount is valid for flights from May 27th to June 6th from anywhere USAIR flies to Orlando, FL.

The EASY Way

call 1-877-874-7687 , Select Option # 2 for meetings/conventions, etc , then #1 to make a reservation, and then option #2 for a new reservation and give them Goldfile#326-323-56 (this may be the easiest, and the fare was a little bit cheaper then the internet) and meeting id# MTG000155. It is called "Baltimore Friends Reunion"

The other way -
You can book your tickets online -

1. Go to www.usair.com (http://www.usair.com)
2. Click on More options located on the right handside directly under the search window.
3. Fill in the info and ensure your dates are "Set" not flexible and "Select Applicable Program" insert the following Meeting ID#: MTG000155
4. Complete Reservation

Also ensure that your USAIR dividend miles# is in your record.

Having never seen the 'program code' option in effect before, I tried this on a PIT-MCO itinerary from 5/28-6/3, got $174 with and without the MTGxxx code.

Am I missing something?

A lot of these negotiated contracts require that the fare be at least $100 one-way or $200 round-trip, base fare before taxes, in order to receive the discount. In fact, I have never run in to a US Airways discount setup that did not have this stipulation. So if you have a trip with taxes that cost $199, you will not get the discount. Even if total cost is like $215, you likely wouldn't get the discount as your base fare would not be over $200 round-trip.

that did the trick, thanks. so where else can we find the MTG codes? ;-) we might need a new thread.

Just to clarify when we purchased our tickets initially the PHL - MCO was at $164 and with the discount was $158.50, they explained to me that many internet fares don't qualify for an additional discount, but any booking still counted towards my forty. I was very specific and asked if there was any problem giving the number out to other people and they said there wasn't. Many major events I've seen them publish the discount codes like for cities like philadelphia. I've been accused of really jonesing for my free ticket, and its true!

I am bumping this to the top. If anyone is flying to Orlando this week please do me a favor and add this goldfile number to your reservation. I am 4 reservations away and you'd make this flyertalker very happy!
