The new web site is up and running. Now the question is how long before it goes down and back to the old site? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

The new website has a fatal bug that prevents me from booking a ticket:
-select flexible travel, select a fare, select a departure date, then click next month's button for return date. Internet Explorer crashed! It said there is an internal error.
It is repeatable every time.
Does anyone have the same problem?

The new reservations area looks very much like the SAS website. Just an observation.

I kinda like the new look and feel!
But it is still a bit screwy as it is showing a non-stop MUC-SEA flight on an MD-11. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

..And not all fares are showing up! For example, the cheap C-class Envoy tickets to Europe do not appear. Theres an 1816 PIT-FRA that is good until the end of August that will not show up in the new system.
It was in the old US site as of yesterday, and it still hows up on Travelocity. I wonder how many other fares are missing? I'd say this is a pretty serious bug!!

I like the new site very much. It is much more organized and has less clicks. Very good improvement.
Now for the bad news.
1) It's more than 3 clicks that they advertise.
2) It doesn't do the friends for $1 promo at all. I don't blame this on them since this is a new promo and this was in testing before that came out. However, it could go thru the same alternative itineraries that the dates are not flexable goes thru - it works there.
3) When you go more than 2 months out then switch fares, it should stay at those months and not switch back to the current month.
Still - good job - it looks nice.

The old system had a 'MUC MD-11 bug' in it too. I used to see a MD-11 flight operated by US Airways out of MUC, thru BOS and then on to PHL every once and a while. I guessed it was a glitch as that flight only seemed to show up on days when US's service to MUC had been cut.... now maybe it's gone daily! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
Anyway, I like the new site as well... a step in the right direction.

Well, as of 1 pm EDT, the US Website has created its own calendar!!!
October has 30 days with none of the numerical dates correct and November has 31 days... an extra!!!

On flexible fare it keeps on showing the return flight the same as the departure and says "ERROR" in the title line when checking flight to TPA.

So how much money is US losing with a website that crashes on pricing, doesnt list all fares, and messes up promos and dates?

The new site in theory has some new features that may be helpful, but it is a disaster in its implimentation. I just had a friend work for 2 hours, and was unable to book the flights. The friend has just returned to the CO web site as a result of the bugs in the new US site. I have had issues where you use the flexible fare option, and select a departure and return date, and then it does not display flights. Overall I much prefer the old site, as it worked. They have not added any materially great features like doing upgrades, etc. A real disaster overall. Takes much longer to actually book reservations.
