I just noticed an interesting quirk about booking the take a friend for $1 promotion on Usairways.com. I was booking a summer vacation and if I choose 2 or 4 people then the friend(s) flew for $1 plus taxes. If I selected 2 people there was one friend fare and if I selected 4 people there were 2 friend fares. That is how it should work. However, when I tried to book 3 people it charged full price for all 3. No friend fare.

If anyone one is making reservations for an odd number of people then you may want to check the fares for an even number.

It is an "odd" problem.

I tried booking tickets for three (wife, son, myself) and encountered the same problem. Even when I called reservation, they had to split the reservation into to records to get it to price correctly.
