I often fly from DC area to Albany. Got an alert from travelocity that the RT fare pre-tax DCA-ALB has dropped to $92. It used to be about $130 or so. But what US has done is eliminate 737 jet service on this nonstop and replaced it with the Dash 8.
The Dash 8 was always used for the BWI-ALB nonstop, which now, mysteriously, no longer exists.
Has anyone seen US do something similar recently in other markets? Or is this just a reflection of their pullback from BWI? And even then, what benefit is it to kill off the DCA-ALB jet?
