Looks nice....and from what I read, this isn't just for "first-timers". Registration required.

Thanks Shinbal!

I just registered because I have four flights before now and Jan 1. I figure that gives me 14,000 miles, plus the small print says you still get the 1,000 mile online booking bonus (and I used my Visa for 500 more per booking).

Now I hope they don't go bankrupt before I can use all my miles.

Note, the way I read the rules is that it only counts if you purchase and fly your trip between 10/26/01 and 2/28/02, not if you purchased your trip previous to then but fly during the period.

I hope that's not correct, but that's the way I read it.

It IS poorly written. I think an argument can be made to go either way....

I sure hope it's just fly between those dates as I have at least 6 RT's to fly between now and 2-28 that I purchased earlier in November.

According to the fine print listed below from their website, the 1,000 mile bonus is included in the bonus, not an addition too. Also, it clearly says "for tickets purchased...and flown...between 11/26/01 and 2/28/02".

I have 4 roundtrips booked in the next two weekends, but unfortunately, it won't count for that.

"Dividend Miles members will only receive bonus miles for tickets purchased at usairways.com and flown on US Airways, US Airways Shuttle and the US Airways Express carriers between 11/26/01 and 2/28/02. Bonus miles listed above include the 1,000-mile online booking bonus. This offer does not apply to tickets purchased through US Airways Vacations online or E-Savers purchases. Maximum of 20,000 bonus miles can be earned per member. Bonus miles will appear in your Dividend Miles account within 3 weeks after travel is complete. 20,000 mile off-peak Coach award travel in the U.S. and Canada valid 9/15 through 2/28/02. All Dividend Miles terms and conditions apply."

Sorry folks, I think it's pretty clear in the rules and conditions, and also the intent of the promotion (they want to generate business, not reward business they've already gotten). Good luck arguing any other way.

It says "Dividend Miles members will only receive bonus miles for tickets purchased at usairways.com and flown on US Airways, US Airways Shuttle and the US Airways Express carriers between 11/26/01 and 2/28/02."

This could be read as:

Dividend Miles members will only receive bonus miles for tickets
1) purchased at usairways.com and
2) flown ... between 11/26/01 and 2/28/02

or it could be read as

Dividend Miles members will only receive bonus miles for tickets
1) purchased at usairways.com ... between 11/26/01 and 2/28/02 and
2) flown ... between 11/26/01 and 2/28/02

The second reading may be more profitable for US, but it's no more valid in English than the first reading. I think US just needs to clarify this.

I didn't see that it must be a roundtrip purchase. It looks like one way tickets qualify.

Continental has almost the exact same promotion going right now also.

No, I don't have elite status on CO but saw it a couple weeks ago.

Hello,
Have people been receiving this bonus? I've purchased and flown twice since this started but have only received the usual 1000 miles, not the 2K & 3K I was expecting. I haven't pursued the matter because it's not yet outside the 21 day parameter they set.

By the way, this is my first post in this forum, thank you for all the great information I've received over the past several months.

Has anyone got this bonus? I haven't received it for a flight I took in December, but maybe that is because I reeived the 5000 mile student advantage bonus. I am flying again in Febuary, which definitely should qualify. Also, as someone noted, this promotion does not specify "round trip". Does that mean that I could fly an outgoing segment before 2/28, return *after* 2/28, and still qualify, since part of the travel was prior to 2/28 and it doesn't specify "round trip". I have a feeling that the answer is "no"...

The T&C for this offer are kinda vague about when tickets had to be BOUGHT. Has anyone received credit for this promo from tickets bought before Nov 26 but flown after?

Also - as usual, my online booking bonuses arent posting, and I need to email for credit. Is anyone getting these automatically?
