Well, it looks like things are getting back to normal again...

...clubs in PIT re-opening.
...in-flight amenities coming back.
...some good responses from customer service to our letters.

Maybe it's not all perfect, maybe it's still not what it used to be, and sure, the bad experiences are still out there, but things seem to be getting back to normal.

But, part of normality was/is that US Airways is loosing money, and lots of it. It's great that things are starting to look up again in terms of service, but I hope that there will still be an airline to give that service in the future. I've not heard much on the financial front, and everything I've heard looks not so good.

I don't really know if this post has any kind of point. I may just be rambling on and thinking out loud. But, really...how is US doing? As things return to "normalcy", does that include a strong, viable US Airways for years to come?? Here's hoping for the best, I guess...

I have my second thoughts to about there financial situation.
I was realy concerned that they had the lowest number for the december load factor of all mayor airlines.
1. CO 72.7
2. NW 72.2
3. UA 71.4
4. AA 67.2
5. AWA 67.1
6. Delta 66.2
7. US 64.3
That is not good news at all. Obviousley the Northeast was hit hardest by the psychology of september 11 and with more short haul flights the car or amtrak might have stolen passengers away from the air more than in other regions of the USA. That explains why Delta and US have much lower load factors than other airlines.
Lets hope the best domestic airline in the US stays alive.
