For most of 2000, I flew out of IND, so I made Silver Preferred for 2001.
Then I moved to Chicago, and now fly UA almost exclusively. I think I have about 6,500 miles on US this year.
I have fairly extensive travel to the east coming up between now and the end of the year. It would be less convenient for me to use US, but I'd consider it if I could keep my status. Unfortunately, I won't get to the ~13,500 additional miles I would need.
I know that US has in the past run "Challenge" promotions whereby one can qualify for status by flying say 12 segments in a couple of months. This wouldn't be a problem for me, as most any itin out of ORD is a four-segment round-trip.
Anyone know whether this is available now?
Thanks for your help.
