...has anyone looked into salvaging their Dividend Miles prior to a USAir bankruptcy. I think that Hilton will transfer DMs into their HHonors program. Does anyone know the facts and the transfer rate (ex. 1 for 1)? Does anyone know of other ways to salvage DMs?

I hope we don't have to worry about it, but I have enough DMs that I am concerned.

USAir does not participate in the HHonors Reward Exchange.

Sorry, but you cannot convert Dividend Miles to HHonors points. AA, CO, UA and DL would be the big domestic airlines you can (among others).

I've thought of this, too. Consider:
1. www.milepoint.com (http://www.milepoint.com) and spend your miles.
2. try to redeem awards or give awards to close relatives (it's not as painful the 2nd time it's done)
3. See the Privilege Flyer program here. It protects your miles up to $7,500.

A US Airways shutdown might not be sudden. Large airlines, such as TWA, lingered on for a long time afte bankruptcy. US hasn't declared bankruptcy yet.

I'd be much more worried if I had America West miles.
