Top U.S. Airways Brass to Stay -Chairman
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - US Airways (NYSE:U - news) Chairman Stephen Wolf said Wednesday that he and other top managers at the sixth-ranked U.S. carrier had no plans to cash in their share options and leave the airline after the failure of its plans to merge with UAL's United Airlines.
``None us of us plan to exercise their rights,'' Wolf told the annual shareholders meeting in response to a question from shareholder activist Evelyn Davis. ``None of us will be leaving during this period.''
US Airways faces tough questions from its shareholders after efforts to merge with United Airlines were blocked by regulators earlier this year and the impact of an industry downturn that has sharply worsened after last week's attacks using hijacked airliners.
