I haven't seen this posted yet so here goes.
US now participates in Sabre virtuallythere.com
All you need is the record locator of an already ticketed reservation and passenger last name. You can print a receipt and itinerary from the site which is quicker than our snail-mail 3-10 day plan. If your res was made directly with US res use our locator (6 letter confirm code) If made by other Sabre system like travelocity or US.com
us the booking reference. If you need more info please call US res and ask. Not a lot of reps know about this as it was only posted in our briefing once. I truly think it is a valuable tool since we are not yet able to fax or email your itinerary out to you. Thanks again for flying with US !

Thanks for the info! I usually book my tickets online for several reasons, one of which is getting the itinerary and receipt almost instantly, and then always retrievable. When I have called to make a reservation, it's annoying that I can't get an itinerary faxed to me. Your information will be of great use. And on behalf of US FT'ers, welcome to the board! It's nice to have a US rep with us.

BWI2MC097-

Welcome.

It is nice to get direct news from someone in the know. Good to know about virtuallythere which is what I get for business booking info, now I can use it for my leisure at US.com

bwi2mco97 - let me be another to welcome you to the board - always good to have a US employee around here.

Quick question - will Virtually There be able to show if a reservation has changed to show an upgrade? Can't get a reservation on usairways.com to show that change after an upgrade is confirmed. Just wondering ...

And again, welcome.

My experience for my upgrade to Envoy in June was that after I called to confirm it, both on usair.com and at Virtually There the original seat assignment in coach was gone and instead in the seat field it said "Check in at airport".

I also discovered today that thru the same system, the reservation info can be downloaded to outlook or to a PDA thru AvantGo.
Pretty good.

Wow, very helpful. Will this work if you did it through Expedia? I just tried my reservation code and name for a trip next week, it claims it's not in the system.

thanks again

I may have this wrong but I have been unable to find the feature in VirtuallyThere which allows you to print a receipt. I have a paid for a flight which shows up on the VT web site but does not show the cost of the flight. In talking to a gold res person at US I was told their information does not show you can print a receipt. I know the topic here is "ETKT receipt on line" so has anyone actually been able to generate a receipt, not just an itinerary?
