you can get 500 miles for doing this short 5 minute survey. At the end it asks for your dividend miles number and you get a confirmation email thanking you and telling you your miles should post in 4-6 weeks

thank you. I had to lie because they did not give me a choice that stated that I HAD been able to book award travel in the last 12 months. I just returned from a award trip in June. But I need the miles

I think this is overboard too. "Free mileage" opportunities like this have traditionally been posted in the Buzz, because many people have ff accounts on various airlines but do not read the individual airline forums.

Luckily there's the Mileage Workshop (http://www.mileageworkshop.com) though which will still have such tips organized in a usable manner.
