you can get 500 miles for doing this short 5 minute survey. At the end it asks for your dividend miles number and you get a confirmation email thanking you and telling you your miles should post in 4-6 weeks

Interesingly, the first question seems to make no sense - there is no option for "tried to redeem miles, and was sucessful"!

Interesting question abount not having enough miles for multiple tickets.

I noticed that, too. Maybe no one has ever successfully redeemed miles for a free ticket with them http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I noticed it also but I have had good luck in the past year redeeming miles for same-day emergency travel -- twice due to family deaths.

I got a trip booked to LGW but had to search virtually every day pair combination for the months of September - November before I could find seats.

The survey was very flawed in that it did not offer an option for successful redemption of mileage. I wrote that in the box they had at the end. Hopefully somebody will see that and they will have to redo the entire survey. My latest success was on the Monday before Memorial Day weekend cashing in 50,000 for a FC LAX-PHL on the flights I wanted (30 & 15)

How long does it take for the 500 miles to show up? I had previously signed up for the e-summary, another 500, and it hasn't posted either.

Found out the hard way when trying to fill out the survey that can not use the same e-mail address for two separate US Airways frequent flier accounts. Even though the names of DM members differ, the software recognizes the e-mail address and will not accept another survey with the same e-mail address. Also, still did not see the option of having successfully used miles for an award.
