Any idea why Teleupgrade has been removed? Any word as to if it will be re-enacted?

I think it disappeared about the same time US Airways started saving millions of dollars by not allowing Preferreds to upgrade e-savers.

Yes, the system was "removed from service" at around the same time that US decided to dis-allow upgrades on domestic e-savers for preferred members. I suspect that the VRU system had no way of differentiating an e-saver from another revenue fare. I have noticed that the endorsement box on e-savers says something like "no dm upgrade," etc.

Well, I suppose once Wolf and Gangwal get their heads out of their arses, we might actually see some innovative ways of ticketing/upgrading/checking in (i.e. electronic).
