View Full Version : The FAs Were Slow, So We Had To Abort

True Story: I was on US#464 on 6/29 from LGA to BUF. On final into Buffalo, the veteran FAs realized they hadn't retreived the cups, napkins et al from the beverage service. When we were literally no more than 200 feet above the ground, one ran to the front of the plane, signaled the cabin, and we aborted the landing and did a go around. How's that for professionalism. The captain told us they needed to go around the give the cabin crew a chance to clean up.

I wonder if anyone had a similar experience.
On the return into LaGuardia, the FAs forgot to offer soft drinkls altogether.

USAir, your service is plummeting faster than dot.com stock.

That is unacceptable. I would contact your nearest FSDO(Flight Standards District Office). It's an FAA office, and you can find your nearest one at www.faa.gov. (http://www.faa.gov.) Copy USAirways Consumer Affairs - to be fair and also to get these FA's some recurrent training.

LGA-ROC on the A319...

Coke/Sprite/Diet Coke only. The plane was full but it was all served and cleaned up very quickly, with plenty of time til landing. The F/A refused to get me a bottle of water.

ROC-LGA on the A319...

F/As did not bother with a drink service.

What US Airways is too stupid to figure out is the competition offers better cabin service on short hauls, especially Southwest and JetBlue.

I had one go around a couple of years ago because somebody ran into the toilet while we were on final.

About 20 years ago the captain circled JFK for about 25 minutes because the movie wasn't over yet.

Ah...the good old days...early arrivals!!
