US Airways to Add Antigua Service From Philadelphia
ARLINGTON, Va., July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- US Airways will add its fourteenth Caribbean destination from Philadelphia with the introduction of Saturday nonstop Antigua service on Dec. 8, 2001, subject to Antigua government approval.
The new flight will depart from Philadelphia at 10 a.m., and will arrive in Antigua at 3:20 p.m. From Antigua, the flight will depart at 4:35 p.m., and will arrive in Philadelphia at 8:15 p.m. US Airways will operate the service with its modern 142-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.
``This fascinating island setting, with its warm steady winds, dramatic coastal reefs and hundreds of powder-sand beaches, makes Antigua an ideal destination for travelers who enjoy outdoor activities,'' said Gregory T. Taylor, US Airways senior vice president of planning.
