US Airways Dividend Miles members now can choose to receive their monthly account statements electronically via US Airways' enhanced E-Statement program, providing the latest account balance and information.

Members will receive beginning and current mileage balances, the number of qualifying Preferred miles and segments earned year-to-date, total number of miles earned, claimed and re-deposited, along with any mileage adjustments made to the account. E-Statements already include highlights of the latest Dividend Miles News and special offers.

``This enhancement will enable our members, especially those who travel frequently, to have quick and total access to their Dividend Miles account information, while at home or away,'' said Stephen M. Usery, US Airways vice president of marketing. ``Our customers have asked us to include more information in the E-Statements, and we have moved quickly in response.''

Haven't we had this option for 6 months or so now? (even getting 500 miles bonus miles)

AND... do monthly statements truly have "current mileage balances"?

I was confused about this press release too, but I think the difference is that you actually get your statement emailed to you instead of having to check it online.

I have a question about this. If you go to email statements, do you still get paper statements?

If not, this is not a good deal (even with the 500 bonus miles). Over the last few months, I have received 4 Hertz coupons for 1 free day with a 2 day weekend rental. (actually 2 each for my wife and myself) This far outways the miles.

Nope, you lose the paper statement. Not worth it to sell your soul for a measly 500 miles. I could burp these days and earn 500 miles.

It wasn't too hard to get the miles then switch back to paper statements. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Ok, since I'm an economist I can't help but point out the obvious - there are now 500 MILLION more Dividend Miles out there waiting to be spent!
