All right, so it's AHN and not ATH (darn!), and new (added) service is on USE to/from CLT. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/tongue.gif

CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- CCAIR, Inc., operating as a US Airways Express carrier in the Southeast United States, will add a fourth roundtrip flight to its current service between Athens, GA, and US Airways' hub in Charlotte, NC, beginning May 6th, 2001.

The new flights will depart Charlotte at 1:50 p.m., arriving Athens at 2:53 p.m. The return leg will depart Athens at 3:17 p.m., arriving back into Charlotte at 4:20 p.m.

``We are excited to be able to increase the number of departures we have from Athens just in time for the busy summer travel season,'' said Tim Coon, President of CCAIR. ``By adding the fourth flight, we underscore our ongoing commitment to serving the growing Athens and Clark County community.''

I thought I had read/heard about a year ago that Athens, Greece was on USAirways wishlist of destinations. That probably got shelved in light of the merger hopes. The new airport there just opened this Spring, so I expect to see increased service there from domestic US airlines. I think DL is the only domestic carrier that serves it from JFK. Olympic is a DISTANT second choice from there, in terms of service and comfort.
