This should really be in the Continental forum or General Traveltalk since it has nothing to do with USAirways or its current service to AVL.
Thanks.

Yes, it definitely belongs in the US forum, because, as the handle suggests, this is informing US passengers that there is another option for travel to AVL.
Thank you.

Actually, this belongs in the new "How To Get To Asheville" forum.
And since DL also serves AVL, you might try posting it there too.

On the heels of your suggestion, this has been done.

Welcome to FlyerTalk. Just for your future knowledge, something like this truly has nothing to do with US Airways. It should be posted ONLY in Continental, or possibly General TravelTalk as well. I wouldn't have posted this here or in the Delta forum.
Continental has also launched new service between White Plains and Boston/Toronto, as well as LaGuardia to Grand Rapids. I suppose this should be posted in every airline flying to LaGuardia, White Plains, Grand Rapids, and Boston, right?? FlyerTalk has enough of posts like that anyway.
Sorry if I sound harsh, but welcome to FlyerTalk.

BizJet is right on.
So when AirTran started service to Pittsburgh, should it be announced in Delta, Continental, United, American, TWA, USAirways and Northwest bulletin boards? In that case I like you thought of posting it here since most folks in PIT would read this bulletin board since US is our dominant carrier, but didn't .. because it's off topic.
Its fair to announce new service, but to announce it in the other airline's board makes no sense and is just a waste of space. For reference, this message board's objective:
Discussion regarding US Airways Dividend Miles

Why don't I keep my thoughts to myself from now on, then?
I don't suppose there's any room for the input from a CO Platinum Elite, NW Platinum Elite, AA 2 Million Miler, US Chairman's Preferred, and UA Premier Executive 1K, for the past 5 consecutive years.
Perhaps I'll find greener pastures on some other board(s).
Your dictatorial style has paid off handsomely.
See you all later.

Look, there is always room for input and news, but what everyone is suggesting is that you place it in the right forum - "In the News" or the airline providing the service is the right place for such news. We don't use a particular airline's forum to hype it's competitors (criticize them, yes). As noted earlier, you won't see posts here welcoming Southeast to CLT for their service to ATL or St. Petersburg. But you will hear in passing if US has matched their fares, or BA's to Europe out of CLT (or other airports).
That being said, if you want to get a lot of valuable insights on travel on any of the airlines you're an elite member of - stick with this board - all of the unwritten rules will become clearer. The signal to noise ratio is pretty good in this forum - and everyone's input is welcomed, so long as it is on US.
It's your call. Have a nice day.

Harold Bahls, ... Cigarman has decided you are I, and has kindly posted this link to prove it to the world, so would you please stop fibbing about my airline affiliations.

What is your point, ozstamps? Your post doesn't have one word to do with USAirways or Asheville. I believe someone once said something to the effect of "that doesn't help me earn one extra mile or point"
Speaking of Asheville, though, its a great city with a nice little airport. My father flew there every week for work for several months. PHL->CLT->(RDU-> )AVL->(RDU-> )CLT->PHL. Lots of segments! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

This thread should not have to step on any nerves. After all, we have already hurt the feelings of our fellow ft'r Harold (Harry) Bahls, even though he was kind of nuts.
