If I have booked Envoy tix and no bags to check, can I go right to the Envoy lounge in PHL to check-in?

Check-in if you don't have baggage can be done at the Envoy Lounge if you are traveling in Envoy or First Class. They can also change your seat assignments, etc.

How about going right to the gate to check in if you don't have bags? Can you do that on international trips? I assume so, but I've always had bags to check so never tried it.

Just make sure you're confirmed in Envoy. Being waitlisted, having the upgrade coupon (e.g., TAU for CPs like me) in hand, and knowing the upgrade is happening... will only get you booted out into the gate-agent line to get your Envoy boarding pass, then you can get into the Envoy lounge.
