US Airways' customers can fly and at the same time invest in their financial future through a new agreement announced today between US Airways and Stockback, a provider of an easy-to-use personal savings program.
Stockback Members who purchase qualifying tickets for US Airways flights through Stockback's online program now will earn stockback -- a cash reward -- offering both immediate and long-term earning benefits.

This offer is pretty limited right now.
Only ticekts to or from LGA are eligible now, though they say they are going to add more markets. I don't think Shuttle flights qualify (though that's not perfectly clear from the conditions, which can be found at http://www.usairways.com/promotions/stockback_welcome.htm ).
The "stockback" award is $5, though it will be double that on tickets purchased before 12/31/00.

Hey, Beckles, what do you think this is? The SPAM forum? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
Actually, it seems that Dan already has everyone beat over in "S.P.A.M."! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I think this is probably something that is of interest specificically enough to US flyers to be posted here ... anyway, the subject is already started now.
ANYWAY ... the reason for my new posting is that Stockback (http://www.stockback.com/referral_program.jsp?src=RAFP&id=RAFP5581) is now offering $2 back on all US Airways tickets purchase, except for full fare tickets! That's right, this must be the one case where buying full fare is detrimental!
They are also offering $5 to/from LGA still and $10 to/from some cities in the West (PHX and LAX for instance). For complete details/restictions, click here: http://www.usairways.com/promotions/stockback_welcome.htm .

Hmm...I wonder if the non-full fare requirement is to prevent people from buying full fare, getting the measley couple of bucks, and then having the ticket refunded? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif

I don't think so, because the reward is not given until 30 days after the flight, not after purchase ...
I guess it's to attract leisure customers, because they know those paying full fare are not going to be swayed one or the other by a couple of $$$ anyway ... not that it really makes sense ... I dunno ...
