The 2001 elite membership guidelines are now posted on the US website. Doesn't look like much has changed - we still get our systemwides!

Thanks for the note. Surprised to see it, since I specifically was looking for it earlier today. I was using systemwides to upgrade a return trip from Paris to PIT in April and was asking the phone rep whether we would get more this year.

You say you dont see much different - I dont remember the option to deposit unused upgrade coupons for 500 miles! Isn't that new? Looks like they are normalizing rules with United already.

Oh, but much has changed - see geo's thread on upgrading e-savers (sorry, forgot to copy the link).

Two two major changes seem to be 1) being able to redeposit NAU certs for 500 miles (again, Chairman's get ripped off since even though I should be earning a LOT of certs, I don't get any and hence can't redeposit them) and 2) not being able to upgrade from e-savers, domestic or international.

Domestic e-savers used to be upgradeable without issue; now they are specifically stated as against the rules.International e-savers have for a long time been non-upgradeable.

Hello US FTers,

I'm a US Gold Preferred whose goal is to be CP. I am bothered that something that not has not been done for the CPs to compensate them for not getting NAU certs (or at least the electronic equivalent).

Do you know if we can exchange old NA Upgrade Certs for miles? The website indicates the exchange instructions will be on the back of the certificates. Does that mean that only certificates with those instructions on them are valid for exchange? Or can ALL certificates be exchanged?

In addition, the one-time club visit pass seems to have disappeared this year. Am I right about this?

Is there anyone here who has been a CP from the very beginning of the Dividend Miles program, when only mileage-earners were allowed in, before segments? Deelmakur?

I remember reading in the general Dividend Miles tier levels guide explaining the benefits of Preferred, Preferred Plus, and Chairman's Preferred, that CP domestic upgrades were described as (paraphrase, I don't have the booklet anymore) "We'll send you upgrades on a regular basis, and if you need more simply call your liaison".

So I think at one point they really did send out certs to CP's, but I guess that was changed a little while back with now "ChrPrf" or such being marked on the boarding pass for accounting, instead of the cert or connection stub.
