DO you think if the merger goes through, and with a combined RCC and USAirways club, new rules restricting access to "same day ticket" will go into effect? The RCC's are so crowded now, I can't imagine how packed they will be later.
I ofter use the clubs when I don't fly that airline, so I hope this does not occur.

The way I see it, not much will change. The same number of club members will be trying to get into the same number of clubs. Peel off the US Airways Club signs and slap on a bunch of RCC signs.
One thing is for certain. the clubs at hubs are already crowded... that will remain the same.
Point well taken. BUT ... I don't see cities like DCA or LGA mainting two UA clubs.

Depends on the hub. The three main hubs for USAirways all have extremely large clubs that are reasonably spacious even at peak times. I don't know if many United fliers are going to change their flying pattern and chose the former US hubs so I doubt there'll be much of a difference at the hubs.
I think the difference will be at spokes and other large 'focus cities' such as DCA and LGA.
