I tried out an Admiral's Club for the first time at DCA. The check-in lady said that she thought the club agreement was to end in August. I knew the mileage agreement ended at that time, but hadn't seen anything in print about the status on the clubs. That would be a bummer......

The entire AA-US partnership will cease in August of 2001. The only hitch to this is that you can still book AA award travel through August of 2002.

Note: The travel can take place through Aug. 2002 but you must either book your award ticket or request an award certificate by Aug. 2001.

I checked an old email and it states the agreement with the clubs and AAdvantage ends August 23.

What is the status of the Marketing Agreement with American Airlines?
For the moment, the frequent flyer and club relationships between US Airways Dividend Miles and American Airlines AAdvantage, and US Airways Club and American Airlines Admirals Club programs remains the same. American has decided to end the relationships on August 23, 2001. We are discussing a transition plan with American and this final date is subject to change. We will keep you advised as the plan is completed. Until the official final date is determined, the reciprocal award redemption, combining of miles and club relationship benefits will remain in place.
