I've read on posts earlier this year that those who qualified for Gold though the challenge in May, then again by actually getting the 50K miles received TWO Gold Packages, and thus two additional systemwide upgrades. I qualified on May 31st for the challenge. I will qualify for Gold on 2 December by breaking the 50K mark. I got my 50k Q-miles (w/o doubling) last week. Will let you know if I do get a 2nd Gold package (I did get 2 Silvers!)

With almost as much supporting data as geo had - I'd say the answer is no.

From what I remember of my experience, I moved up to Gold in late April/early May through a challenge. And since double miles were in operation, I qulaified for Gold with the challenge, and amassed enough miles to qualify for 2001 Silver. Yes, I did get both a new Silver and Gold packet with the unexpected bonus. But I think that was because the DMiles folks having to handle the status change manually. And that's early in the year when the 2000 cards are available, etc. But I'd guess that you shouldn't count on it at this point in the year.

No. The only airline that allows 'quick' entry into the top tier like Chairman's is Continental. Of course I'm sure if you're a big wig at a big company you can probably swing a comp to ChrPrf for the CEO, but that's about it IMHO
