1500 miles? Get on the next e-saver flight to Florida, DFW, IAH or MCI.

Try JAX through BWI-CLT or PIT-CLT (many other combinations). Three segments each way for 3000 miles, same day turn around for $195. Available right now.

Its strange how some fares with same day turn around are so cheap. I did a similar trip last year for business. IAD-PHL-FLL-PHL-DCA (all same day) for about $140. This was for work and the firm was flabbergasted that the fare was what it was.

I think it has to do with the competition by low fare airlines. US is especially vulnerable to this due to the density of its routes, it is a sitting duck for competing low fare airlines (Sun Country, AirTran, JetBlue, etc. etc.)

Yea!!! Otherwise we'd be paying fares like they do out of PHL http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Uhhhh....JetBlue and Sun Country were not flying when I did this last year. AirTran is not competed with on many routes.
