US Airways dedicated the opening of its redesigned gate and boarding-area check-in facilities at LGA yesterday. US Vice President of Sales Steven Tracas said: "This facility was designed with the business traveler in mind, offering centralized check-in, new gate area amenities, club-style seating, individual workstations equipped with power outlets, and telephones with data ports."

Shuttle customers may now stay current on business news and find the latest market quotes from new Bloomberg terminals located in the gate area. Complimentary newspapers, magazines, as well as morning coffee and juice also are conveniently located in the Shuttle departure area every business day. "With the opening of the new Shuttle terminal, US Airways offers pax some of the most modern terminal facilities in the well-traveled Eastern corridor, complementing contemporary settings at other airports like Reagan National, Washington Dulles, Philadelphia and Boston," said Tracas.

US Airways operates weekday hourly service between LaGuardia and Boston's Logan International Airport and Washington's Ronald Reagan National Airport with 66 arrivals and departures using its new Airbus A320 aircraft.

doc - this is no fun - I'm going to miss being handed a hardhat when I disembark at LGA! Is it just me, or did this seem like the longest construction project ever - the carpet seemed to be ripped up for months!

This is a little bit off the topic, but...

Does anyone know if the new terminal in BUF is finished? The last time I used BUF, they were remodelling the terminal, but that was maybe three or four years ago now. I'm guessing they've had it done now for a while now, but I've not had the occasion to go to BUF since then.

Buffalo airport was finished a while ago. Nice modern terminal with two linear concourses. Very neat, but nothing out of the ordinary. Has a nice USAirways Club. United customers should be very happy with all their new facilities.

Yes, Buffalo has a very nice, new, quiet terminal. A very nice US Airways Club too. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
