This workload might get pretty onerous if one took on all those Don - that is a major worry here. After all I now have my pet acaconda to think of, not just myself. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ideasmilie.gifHOWEVER, I wonder if there is any chance to also politely ask for the Eastern Airlines Forum responsibilities as well?

No, dead serious http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif. It's absolutely critical we have a moderator for a forum which:

1. Is about an airline which has been dead since March 2002;
2. Contains totally off-topic threads and posts; and
3. Has confused you!

Cheers

In that case, I think I shall begin planning on an insurrection in the Canadian Airlines forum and take over as moderator there. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Hot Dog! A really excellent choice if I may say so. You have my full and complete enthusisastic support on this. If you have your PA contact my PA, I will pass on some more thoughts and info on this. I also have some official application forms that I cannot divulge the origin of, but they are not generally available. I can have my PA Fedex those to you.

The only thing I am not sure of is which airline eventually merged with Canadian Airlines. Was it Delta or NW? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/confused.gif

And finally, I am quite loath to mention this, but it must be said. There have been some VERY non-topic posts on the SUN AIRLINES FORUM in the past year. Some of the things posted there were quite shameful. I suspect a volunteer to offer moderate that Forum needs to step forward. Any takers?

Air Canada swallowed Canadian (CP) to form MapleFlot. Very sad days.

As for the rest of this thread... I can do only one thing:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

(and I lost way more than 4,500 GR points! Ansett is VERY dear to me! R.I.P. Ansett. We love you still).

Given where Ansett flew, I'd like to see recipes for pavlovas and lamingtons too. (I've gotten pavlova recipes off the net, but none of them had FT assurance that they work.)

I'm partial to afghans (the cookies) and would appreciate a recipe for those too. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

We just can't make a good pavlova in seattle, its too darn humid.

Glen, if you are officially appointed moderator I will send you one of my nine Ansett Airlines Upgrades Certificates, and I won't even ask for a SWU in return. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

SuzieQ. That would surely amount to BRIBING a Moderator, and sorry, I could not be part of that at ALL.

But if you could somehow stretch to FOUR upgrades .......... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

ME,BRIBE, NEVER CROSSED MY MIND (until now).
The upgrade was offered purely as a gift. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

I'm keeping my 35 Golden Wing passes to show my grand-children when I tell them the story.

"Once upon a time there was a wonderful airline called Ansett, which flew across the skies down-under".

RichardMel - Thankyou for such a kind offer, but I don't think I could handle watching such a "tear-jerker". It's just such a sad ending. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif

I want pavlova and lamington recipes also! Right now, there is only one place in SLC that sells them (that I know of) and it is WAY out of my way. For those of you who might want to indulge on an SLC visit, here is a link to the Kiwi Bakery. (They do fish and chips and meat pies and sausage rolls, also.)
