The Crescent

It looks like from July 1 through at least September The Crescent will begin and end at Washington DC due to construction at New York Penn Station.

It would have been much better if they had brought it up to Newark for instance - The connecting fares for roomettes from NY Penn seem much higher than before.

There are no facilities or staff to turn the train in Newark, including cleaning and commissary.

The Crescent's schedule has also been changed; it'll arrive about 90 minutes later at southbound stations.

I will not be taking the Crescent from July-September; if I can't be in a sleeping car all the way from NYP, I might as well fly.
