LPT: Quik-Trak makes last minute price adjustments easy
As someone who prefers self-service options, it's always bothered me that amtrak.com can't effectively do fare adjustments when the price drops (never lets me do modify trip unless I change something and changing is risky obviously).
Today before boarding, I noticed my upgraded trip was available at a price lower than I paid. On a whim, I scanned at a Quik-Trak machine and amazingly it had no issues with modifying the trip with no changes and doing an eVoucher refund.
I was shocked to say the least.
