Best mileage runs from DC or philly? -- Need 1500 TQPs for a RT WAS to PHL

What is the fastest and easiest way to generate 1000 TQPs. What is the max city pair TQPs? Is it only 500 TQPs from WAS to NYP? Can I buy a ticket to Boston and sneak off at BWI and get more TQPs? but probably based only on price? E.g., if an Acela first class to boston is $400, that gets me only 800 TQPs? Doing multiple 100 TQPs runs is just too time consuming -- I think I need to find a city pair TQP > 500 or if that is the max, then just buy a pricey ticket and just get off.

Have to have that United Club access. . . .

Will this work? I need 1500 points and have to go DC to philly and back anyway:

buy a DC to Metropark -- 500 TQPs, board in DC get off in Baltimore.

then buy the next DC to Metropark -- 500 TQPs, board in Balt, get off in Philly. (can I be on two different trains at once?)

for the return, a few days later
buy a Metropark to DC -- 500 TQPs, board in Philly, get off in DC.

= 1500 TQPs for DC to PHL RT instead of ~600?

Any better options?

No, that probably won't work(anymore). You can't be on two trains at once. The computer might not allow or cancel the second ticket using your AGR number. You should board at the starting station but can get off early on the segment.

How about modifying your plan and go WAS-MET for 500 pts. MET-WAS(off in PHL) for 500 pts. Other day go WAS-MET (off in BWI) for 500 pts and back to WAS by MARC.

OK. But do I have to get on at the starting station? How about:

WAS-MET ticket (ride the full thing -- arg)
MET-WAS (but get off in philly) that gets me to philly in ~4-5 hours instead of 1.5

Then buy MET-WAS but get on in philly.

If I truly should only board at the starting station then:

WAS to MET first class 750 pts.
MET to WAS biz class 500 pts (get off in philly)

PHL-WAS ~300 depending on price at 2x$

that should get me to 1500 points.

Or If I can get on mid train ticket at PHL then the least amount of time is:

WAS - MET first class at 750 (get off at PHL)
MET-WAS first class at 750 (get on at PHL).
= 1500 pts and no wasted time!

then WAS to DYE on #51 Roomette $460

Get off in Alexandria, VA

No, you need to start where the ticket starts.

this was the first year I had to figure out the rules to make sure to qualify. I just made the needed 1448 TQPs from a round trip WAS to PHL by:

WAS to NYP first class: 750
NYP to WAS regular: 500 (but got off in PHL 4.5 hours after leaving DC with a pitstop in the beautiful Penn Stn)
PHL to WAS regular: 232
Totals=1482.

Thanks for the help and suggestions.
