E-mail states ticket will be mailed. Agent says, "No".

Thanks in advance for your help. Have not traveled on Amtrak in about 25 years since I live in Florida.

Traveling NYP-BAL in a couple of weeks and made my reservation on-line. Confirmation e-mail indicates that paper ticket to be mailed. I called to confirm today and was told that paper tickets are not mailed if travel begins at NYP. Is this correct? Are e-tickets a possibility? If I do have to pick up my ticket from a machine, will it provide both parts of the round trip, or will I have to check-in again, in Baltimore?

Not all Amtrak trains have e-ticketing. If your confirmation doesn't say so, then guess you won't. I'd put more faith in what the agent says about the tickets being mailed or not. Emails don't always get it right.

All tickets on the reservation will print when you use a kiosk/agent. And you can go to any kiosk (i.e. Jacksonville) to get your tickets. Just take the same CC used to pay for the tickets.

Not sure why the email you got says that the tickets will be mailed to you. Since you are departing from a staffed station (Amtrak's busiest) you can simply pick up your tickets at a Quicktrak machine or from an agent at the ticket counter. You will get both of your tickets there so no need to checkin at Baltimore.

The Northeast Corridor has not rolled out e-ticketing yet.

Reservations were made on 6/4.

See OP for facts in this matter.

Paper tickets arrived by US mail on 6/30 for travel on 7/6.
