My United Club card worked with no incident in the WAS Club Acela. Agent swiped it and welcomed me in.
The Club was the most full I had ever seen.
Were you required to show a same-day UA or Amtrak ticket?
The WAS CA can get busy at certain times. I have to assume the hour leading up to the Crescent's departure would be quite busy, with all the sleeper pax, peak-hour Acela F pax, and current and expiring S+ members.

I had the agent print my Amtrak ticket, so I did not test whether or not that was needed. At least a UA/CO ticket was not required.
It was a peak time on a Friday afternoon. Many people just walked into the club and then walked right out onto the train platform.
So are the S+ cards now allowing us to access the United Clubs for the remainder of 2012? If there was an official annoucement, I must have missed it. My next flight is not for a few more weeks, but it would be nice to know before then, since i'm debating on whether or not to renew by UC membership which is about to expire.

Yes, you can use the 2012 S+ card to access the UAClub. UA and Amtrak is still working out a permanent arrangement but until then, you should have access with your S+ card at UAClubs.

Can anyone else post successes of using S+ cards to UA Clubs after 2/29? I was denied 3/5 at IAD.
