Yes I spent 2010 riding the rails.

My account says I have no rail points in 2011 (of course) but I have qualified for Select Plus for 2012! Just a glitch?

AGR took off down the 2010 rail points, I was calling AGR to redeem some points so I had the rep look up my points.

Status: Select Plus
2010 Rail Points: 38,334
Total Points: 99,904

Those bonuses were sure fruitful for me in 2010, let's hope for some good promos in 2011!

I also forgot to look before the counter reset for 2011, but to best of my recollection:

Status for 2011: Select
2010 Rail points earned: about 5400
total segments in 2010: 27
Total points: 14,123 (recently redeemed some points)

Sorry I'm slow at posting this:

Status: Select Plus
Total Points: 21,658
Rail Points: 0

About an hour after midnight on New Year's, Amtrak notified me via e-mail that I made Select Plus. I assume that's the same time when my Rail Points went back to zero. Today, they have updated My Amtrak to show more detailed information.

Requalified by the skin of my teeth this year! (And not all segments have posted yet.) Didn't have time to enjoy many redemptions. Last year's brief site glitch that said we already requalified for next year is not repeating.

Rail Points = 10,000 (thanks to the Acela 500 / 750 city pair minimums)

Holy crap.

Amtrak needs a lifetime status level for people like you!

(Or at least a higher tier than Select Plus...)

I scrolled back to last year's post and noticed I am a little light this year - 2010 was 59k. At 1,500 rail points for each round trip between Boston and NY in first, this is "just" 35 roundtrips.

I would really like to see another tier, and something worthwhile to do with all my points. With the CO transfers gone, I am stuck with getting 1% on gift cards, which is pretty inferior.

You should share some with the rest of us?

Do you not have any interest in redeeming for LD/sleeper travel?
Or even acela travel?
